I spent countless nights wandering around Taganka, chasing that perfect shot. I’m not even sure anymore — was I aiming for the Staislavskogo building, or just mesmerized by the clouds above?

I stumbled upon a protea at a flower shop while looking for props and inspiration. I didn’t know it was called the African rose—though to be fair, it’s more like a small tree.
As I shot this frame, I was thinking about Africa. Darya picked up on that same frequency and instinctively chose a pink wall as the backdrop for the blue rose photo—perfectly in tune with the vibrant African palette I had in mind.

I was searching for the right angle, the green tones attracted me. Just before leaving the park, I captured this shot. It wasn’t until two years later, revisiting the photo, that I noticed the reflection of Bauman University in the pond.

In the Maldives, you don’t need any entertainment. Even taking a photo feels almost pointless when you’re surrounded by such pure harmony.

Even as a puppy, Martha already knew how to pose perfectly for the camera. As soon as she saw it pointed at her, she would freeze, and her gaze would become thoughtful and deep.
Camels like prisoners of a future prison, with electronic bracelets on their legs. But in the desert, the eye gets used to seeing nothing but the desert itself. It’s no coincidence that Old Testament exiles and wanderings took place in these conditions and on this land. And because of this, these animals appear even more majestic.

I took this shot in the UAE desert, just as the camel driver appeared over the dune—like a scene straight out of a film. It was my birthday. Meeting him felt like a memory from another world.
